Legendary Nintendo design director, who’s the father of Mario, Zelda and a ton of other huge names, Shigeru Miyamoto says that Retro Studious could help Nintendo with a future The Legend of Zelda project. Retro Studios is famous for having revitalized the Metroid and the Donkey Kong franchises with the awesome Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong Country Returns. They also recenty worked on Mario Kart 7.

Miyamoto told Wired: “As you know, we have already collaborated with Retro for the Metroid Prime series in the past. And I think when we talk about any other franchise, Zelda might be a possible franchise for that collaboration.”

Now that would be a sight to behold. Come on, Nintendo, make it happen.
