Microsoft Announces An Achievements Application For Xbox One

Now it's easier to keep track of your Achievements across Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

It was an announcement made right before the actual Microsoft E3 press conference started, but it was a good one nonetheless: Microsoft has announced an Achievements Tracker app for the Xbox One, that will apparently make it easier to track your Gamerscore and Achievements.

Mweb reports that the app should also make it much easier to keep track of progress and goals in individual games, which should make the entire Achievements process much more streamlined than it has grown to be over the decade since when it was first introduced. The feature was simple enough at first, but as games and Achievements grew more and more complex over time, it became a bit bloated and unwieldy (and actually less full featured, surprisingly enough, than Sony’s competing Trophies function for its PlayStation systems).

The app will be made available later this year, and it will also be coming to the Xbox 360.
