Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor Overview Trailer Reveals More Than You Might Want to Know

But seriously, some spoilers ahead.

Monolith Productions’ has released a new overview trailer for its upcoming open world, Lord of the Rings action game Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, set between The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring. Anything you could want to know about the game is detailed here. There may be a few spoilers ahead, but if anything LOTR-related can be spoiled for you in this day and age, then shame on you.

Now straight away I will say this, the trailer takes a few liberties with what has been established in the main line canon and seems to be more in line with the representation of Sauron from The Hobbit movies, a silhouette in an eye shaped flame, the forging of the rings, the Gondorian line, etc.

But all told, the trailer does exactly what it sets out to do: Giving enough information for the uninformed and providing some enticing game details to hook those who had previously been sitting on the fence on whether or not they should purchase the game.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is out on September 30th for North America and October 3rd in Europe for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Xbox 360 and PS3 players in both territories will need to wait till November 18th and November 21st respectively.
