The new trailer focuses on the monsters you can take on in the game.

At Gamescom, Microsoft and Warner Bros. released a new trailer for their upcoming Tolkien fan fiction story, Middle-earth: Shadow of War. The new trailer continues to completely go contrary to the tone and aesthetic of Tolkien’s world, which triggers me as a Tolkien nerd, but okay, I’ll try not to bring that up anymore.

Anyway, the new trailer focuses on the monsters that you can find and fight in the game, including the mighty Balrog, which you might remember as the beast that took down Gandalf in Fellowship of the Ring. It’s actually pretty cool seeing a lot of the unique takes on Tolkien’s monsters in this game- even if you don’t agree with the direction they are being taken in.

Microsoft and Warner Bros. also confirmed Xbox One S bundles with the game, available in 500GB and 1TB varieties. Sadly, no special themed controllers or consoles in this one, but still, if you are looking to pick up a console with one of this Holiday season’s more hyped games, this isn’t going to be a bad option for you.
