Notch has just announced that Minecraft has sold 4 million units so far. This is quite good for a game that basically no one knew about. The game was in a beta stage for a long time and finally the full version goes on sale next week.

Minecraft is incredibly popular among PC gamers and considering the things you can do in the game, the sales are well deserved.
