Mirror's Edge Catalyst

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, the follow up/reboot to the cult classic original game, is almost here, and if you’re planning on playing it on PC (which seems likely, since PC is where most of the original game’s fanbase was), then you probably want to know just how much grunt you need to have on your rig to be able to run it.

Thankfully, EA and DICE have released the specs necessary to run the game on PC, and they don’t appear to be anything too crazy- well, not for the minimum spec, anyway. If you want to match the recommended spec, you’ll need a damn good rig.

MINIMUM:

  • OS: Windows® 7 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)
  • CPU: Intel i3-3250 / AMD FX-6350. (Note: Mirror’s Edge Catalyst requires at least 4 logical cores to run.)
  • RAM: 6 GB
  • HARD DRIVE: At least 25 GB of free space
  • VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 650 Ti 2GB or better / AMD Radeon™ R9 270x or better
  • INPUT: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller

RECOMMENDED:

  • OS: Windows® 10 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 at 3.4 GHz / AMD FX-8350 at 4.0 GHz
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • HARD DRIVE: At least 25 GB of free space
  • VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 970 4GB or better / AMD Radeon™ R9 280x 3GB or better
  • INPUT: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller

Let’s hope the game isn’t as demanding as it seems to be because of a poorly optimized port. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Origin, next month.
