Modern Warfare 3 wont have any Prestige Edition

Posted By | On 19th, Sep. 2011

Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward has confirmed that Modern Warfare 3 wont be getting a Prestige Edition. In case, you don’t know what that is, let’s say it’s an expensive way to proclaim your love for the franchise. Usually costs $150 and comes with some crazy goodies like RC car and Night Vision Goggles. Considering the CoD games are selling gangbusters, we have to wonder why was this move undertaken.

Not enough sales for the Prestige edition? Seems unlikely but it seems they want to keep it simple and don’t want to confuse the customers. Bowling mentioned that, “There is no Prestige Edition, only a Hardened Edition for #MW3.” While this may disappoint the hardcore CoD lovers, it won’t really affect anyone else according to us.
