Today during a panel at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, NetherRealm Studios made a series of updates for their eagerly anticipated upcoming new fighting game Mortal Kombat 11. The eleventh entry in the visceral fighting game series sees the return of Noob Saibot and Shang Tsung, who will both be joining the roster.
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who played Tsung in the Mortal Kombat movie, will be voicing the character in the game as well; he will not be a part of the base game’s roster, and will instead be the first DLC character that is made available for the title.
That apart, we also got a “Making Of” video from NetherRealm, which was about an hour long, and which also went into the details of how some of the Fatalities were made. You can see this below. We also got confirmation during a Q&A session that Mortal Kombat 11 will have no loot boxes, which is a welcome change from Injustice 2, NetherRealm’s last game, which did have them.
Mortal Kombat 11 launches for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC on April 23. If you are interested in more character reveals for Mortal Kombat 11, make sure to check out the trailer which confirmed Kotal Kahn, who then proceeded to get wiped out in his own reveal video.
