Cloud and Aerith
I cannot begin to imagine what players felt when Aerith died. The fact that players had established such a bond with Aerith via Cloud as a proxy only amplified the impact. There is not much to say about this, except for the fact that Aerith’s death made her love with Cloud immortal forever.
