Right after the tutorial at the beginning of the game, a trooper asks another if he is “still gay?” and the other trooper adds “don’t ask, don’t tell” referring to the US military’s don’t ask don’t tell policy. This resulted into comments and controversies from around the world. Call of Duty franchise just has a knack of creating one controversy after another.
