Left4Dead 2 had a lot of negative feedback from people for its tasteless use of graphic art to grace the cover of the game. The image depicted the series’ iconic hand with its little finger, ring finger and the thumb torn off. When many protesters objected to it, Valve changed the image to a less graphic image, so that the fingers were just bent back, rather than torn off.
