MotorStorm’s buggies may be coming to DriveClub

DriveStorm. MotorClub.

Before they ever set out to make DriveClub, Evolution Studios was working on MotorStorm for Sony’s PlayStation 3, a series of racing games that emphasized off roading in all manner of imaginative environments in… buggies.

A lot of people still adore MotorStorm, actually. With its unique gameplay and arcade sensibilities, it was far different from any other game in Sony’s portfolio (unlike DriveClub, which seems to be a whole lot like Gran Turismo in so many ways). And while this new news won’t silence the cries for a brand new MotorStorm game, it’s at least something- you see, according to new leaked footage (which you can see for yourself above), the buggies from MotorStorm may be making a comeback in DriveClub.

Notably, the footage seems to have been captured from a regular, retail copy of the game. It might not be too long before we see the announcement of a new DLC pack for the game that brings the buggies over to it. Now whether or not it will be covered by the Season Pass remains to be seen.

We’ll keep you posted.
