Muramasa: The Demon Blade Debuts on Playstation Vita With New Trailer

Hack, slash and rapid dash through the upcoming port.

Depending on who you ask, Muramasa: The Demon Blade was either ridiculously awesome, ridiculously difficult or just plain ridiculous. The difficulty curve put it somewhere in the realm of Ninja Gaiden sadists, and some boss fights had you annihilating Kraken. Then again, with such gorgeous art design, how could one resist the side scrolling slasher?

Initially released for the Wii, Marvelous AQL has released a new trailer for Muramasa, promoting its upcoming release to PS Vita on March 28th. The trailer is of course full of bloody moments and much carnage, but hey, that’s just Christmas come early, right?

Muramasa: The Demon Blade initially centered on two protagonists – Kisuke, the amnesiac fugitive, and Momohime, a princess possessed by an evil spirit – but the Vita version boasts four new characters, with four new short scenarios to made available as DLC. Not a bad way to expand on earlier experiences, but will it be enough to trigger gamers’ interest for the niche actioner?
