NBA 2K14 on Next Gen Systems Has Real Emotion Engine

No, not the one that powered the PS2.

Posted By | On 08th, Nov. 2013

NBA 2K14 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One looks seriously impressive visually. It might actually be the most impressive looking next generation title right now, which is saying something, considering the launch titles for the Xbox One and PS4 include a Killzone, a game by Crytek, and a FOrza game.

Now, the newest trailer for the game shows us that its scope and ambition is not just for its graphics, it also extends to the actual game itself: the new Eco-Motion engine adds an insane amount of emotional depth to the players on field, and everything about them, from their posture and stance to their dribbling, facial expression, energy levels, and how they play.

It’s some seriously impressive stuff, and it’s the kind of stuff that will probably end up making NBA 2K14 stand out so far from the competition.

The game launches with both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Stay tuned.
