NBA 2K14 Will Have ‘Dynamic Living Rosters’

Rosters in game will reflect real developments as and when they happen.

2K Games has announced that its upcoming entry in its annual basketball sim franchise will have what might be a game changing feature for sports games, literally: the rosters, players, and how they play and their stats will be updated in real time to reflect real developments. Therefore if a player goes out of form in the middle of the season, expect the player to start playing poorly in the video game as well. The opposite also applies, and potentially, this could also be used to reflect player injuries and other such developments in the games.

It’s actually a brilliant new idea, which should certainly appeal to basketball fans (i.e. people who were buying the game to begin with), but hopefully it also trickles down to other kinds of sports games- maybe EA Sports will integrate this into the next FIFA game or something. Who knows?

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage of the title.
