Starring Shaq O'Neal as the cover athlete.

NBA 2K18 has been announced by 2K Games. This year’s entry in the hit basketball series will be hitting the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and will star basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal (more affectionately known among his fans as Shaqor Shaq Fu) as the cover star for the Legend Edition.

This is his third turn as the cover athlete- he was previously also on the cover of NBA 2K6 and NBA 2K7 ten years ago. So this will be a nice return home for him. Of course, it’s important to remember that he won’t be starring on the standard, regular edition’s cover- just the Legend Edition. The cover athlete for the regular edition will presumably be announced at a later date.

The game, and its Legend editions, will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. NBA 2K18 releases on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 19th. If you purchase the Legend Edition, you get to play it four days early, on September 15.
