2K have released a brand new trailer for this year’s upcoming installment in their NBA 2K series of basketball sims. The new trailer shows the high degree of care and attention to detail that goes into the visuals and art of the game by showcasing the players, the basketball courts, the crowds, the cheerleaders, and more.

All of this is set against Shook Ones by Mobb Deep, which means that the entire trailer definitely has a rather high energy, stylish feel to it. It demonstrates just how important graphics can be even for a sports video game, as they can mean the difference between authentic realism, and breaking the immersion the game might otherwise be working to build.

You can check out the trailer for yourself below. NBA 2K18 is due out on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in September. The Switch version release will be only digital at launch- a retail release will be following a little later.
