NBA 2K18 Will Be 30FPS on Nintendo Switch

Plus, some off screen footage of the Switch version of the game, too.

NBA 2K18 will have full feature and content parity on the Nintendo Switch with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game- a hugely impressive feat, given the difference in hardware between the Switch and the other two consoles. The Switch version even has the same animations as the other two consoles, which, again, is impressive.

But this will all come at a cost- in this case, the framerate will take a hit. While the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will run at 60 frames per second, the Switch version will be only 30 frames. While this is undoubtedly a shame – and it is, I wish there was an option for players to have 60 frames with lower graphics settings – at the same time, I imagine the Switch’s portability and local multiplayer features will mean that this is unlikely to deter a lot of people.

We also got some new footage for the Switch version of the game, which you can check out below. NBA 2K17 launches on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, in addition to the Nintendo Switch, later this month.
