Need for Speed Payback (13)

A new Need For Speed Payback update is on the way with some free content and some paid DLC. The new content includes a new mode known as the Speedcross mode, a new feature known as Abandoned Cars and more. The Speedcross mode will see players try to score as many points as possible through a pre-determined course. This mode will bring with it 16 new events and two new cars which are the the Mini John Cooper Works Countryman and the Infiniti Q60 S.

Additionally, in the single-player mode, players will compete against many racers until finally going up against the reigning champion, The Barracuda. This mode along with the new cars are part of the Premium DLC content. As part of the free content, the biggest new addition is  the Abandoned Cars. With this feature, players may find these abandoned cars, and can try to escape the cops with the car. If they succeed, then they get to keep the car.

A new game mode known as Drift Run will be added to the multiplayer races. This is basically similar to the single player Drift Trial events and will allow up to 8 players to participate in the event. Finally, steering wheel support is on the way for the Logitech G29 and Logitech G920.

All in all, perhaps this new content will help breathe some life into the game. You can check out a trailer for the new Speedcross DLC below.
