Netflix App on Xbox One Redesigned

It now looks almost identical to the PS4 app.

Netflix App on Xbox One

The Xbox One originally had a Netflix app designed from the ground up for it. It was a nice sentiment and everything, but sadly the Xbox One Netflix app sucked. A lot.

Meanwhile, the PS4 app used roughly the same overall layout, organization, and UI as Netflix does on all other devices, but the PS4 app was, much like everything else on or about the PS4, well received and a rousing success.

The solution? The Xbox One Netflix app has been redesigned… we say redesigned, but it’s pretty much just a copy/paste of the Netflix UI and layout as it is on every other device it is available on on the market. That is, in fact, a good thing, as it means that Netflix may now actually be usable on Microsoft’s newest console.

Of course, as with everything else that ever happens, there will obviously be dissenters who absolutely loved the old app, and who will cry and complain about the new one.

Oh well.
