Netflix Customer Support Says There Are No Plans For Switch App Currently

That said, the tweet which said this has since been deleted...

With Hulu coming to the Nintendo Switch, a lot of people have been hoping for other, more popular video streaming apps, such as Twitch, YouTube, and Netflix, to come over to Nintendo’s hybrid system as well. However, if a Netflix customer support representative is to be believed, Netflix, at least, might not be making its way over any time soon.

That’s what the Netflix Customer Service account said on Twitter when asked about a Switch app; now bear in mind that a customer service account may not necessarily be privy to internal development details, and that even if they were, they wouldn’t necessarily have the authorization to announce it. Still, this is, for now, the closest thing we have to official word regarding Netflix on the Switch. Additionally, the tweet has since been deleted- so its veracity remains in doubt.

If it’s true, then it’s a shame, really, because the Switch is one of the gaming systems where I would like to use Netflix (and other entertainment apps). I wonder what the hold up is right now.
