During an interview with Forbes, when Reggie Files-Aime, Nintendo of America President, was asked if Netflix streaming can be done on the Wii U controller, he said it was “theoretically possible.”
“The messaging comes right from the console. So the programming would need to originate off the console. Theoretically, that’s possible.”
However, he stressed that all content on the controller had to be streamed from the console.
The Nintendo Wii already supports the Wii, and it will be making its way over to the 3DS too.
