New Caffeine Trailer Promises That ‘The Simple Puzzles Count’

As they well should, when the game is all about the puzzles.

Caffeine, the Unreal Engine 4 powered first person horror game that promises a new take on horror games by taking the emphasis away from combat and making puzzle solving your only way of interacting with the world, just got a new trailer. And sure enough, true to the stated premise of the game, the new trailer promises that every single simple puzzle counts in the world of Caffeine.

The footage itself is entirely pre-alpha (the trailer constantly reminds us that it is a ‘very early build’), but it still looks pretty damn good. If this is how good a crowdfunded indie game can look on Unreal Engine 4, then I can’t wait to see what kind of graphics a AAA publisher can mine from the engine.

Caffeine is due out on PC once it meets its crowdfunding target; the game promises to deliver a horror game experience on par with Doom 3, Condemned, and Fear 2. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
