When Call of Duty: Ghosts’ requirements for running on PC were released, people were staggered: it needed a whopping 6GB of RAM! Were Infinity Ward and Activision working on making the PC version decidedly more next gen than the already revealed underwhelming console versions?
As it turned out, no they weren’t: Ghosts looked distinctly last gen on PC too, and its massive RAM requirement made absolutely no sense. Now, a new patch released for the PC version of the game will reduce the RAM requirement from 6GB to a much more sensible 4GB.
The patch, which is 400MB in size, adds other minor features mostly, including some eSports friendly ones (although Ghosts has a long way to go before it catches up with Treyarch’s Black Ops II in terms of how eSports friendly it was), as well as support for 4K displays, just in case you want to play Call of Duty with that level of visual fidelity.
