New Disney Infinity Trailer Shows Disney and Pixar Worlds Colliding

New trailer leverages on Disney's properties to try and sell you on the upcoming game.

Disney’s upcoming take on the Skylanders dominated NFC toys/video games market is looking like it will be a fairly interesting game. and why should it not be? Disney, after all, has some of the best, most recognizable properties in the media industry. The new trailer leverages on all of them, showing memorable Disney and Pixar characters (more Pixar than Disney though, surprisingly) engaged in combat. The trailer should appeal right to its demographic- kids- and hell, it should even get a fair few adults interested.

Of course, Disney Infinity will be an expensive investment either way, with the actual basic game having to be augmented by separately bought toys, but considering the wild success of Skylanders, it’s not hard to see this one doing well either.

Disney Infinity hits the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS August 18. No PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Playstation Vita versions have been announced yet. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for further coverage of the game.
