New Episode of Evolution of Evolve Looks At Map Design

Very interesting.

Posted By | On 12th, Dec. 2014

The newest episode of the Evolution of Evolve webseries, the fourth one, is here, and this one details a very important component of the game- the map design. Of course, for any multiplayer shooter, the map design is always of paramount importance, and specifically for Evolve, with its emphasis on asymmetric multiplayer, it is absolutely essential.

In this video, the host, Adam Sessler, narrates, as the developer’s process is shown in full detail, showing us not just the maps, but the significance of each map’s individual design elements, as well as the reasoning that went behind all of them on a micro and macro level.

It’s honestly fascinating on multiple levels- not only do we get to see more of the game itself, we also get to see more of the development process of the game, which is always a great thing, especially for a game that promises to be as different as this one. Oh also, we get to see more of Adam Sessler too. Hi Sess!
