New Far Cry 4 DLC Adds New Mode, New Maps, and New Dune Buggy

And it's out today!

Far Cry PS4

The new Overrun ‘expansion pack’ is out now for Far Cry 4 on Xbox and PlayStation consoles (the PC version is scheduled to get it this Thursday), and as modern game DLC goes, it’s actually fairly substantial- it introduces new maps, a brand new vehicle, as well as a new game mode called ‘Overrun.’

Overrun is a game mode that becomes about controlling demarcated zones on a map; there are three capture zones, and your team gets points for controlling these zones. The more team members there are controlling a certain zone, the more points you will get. The game goes on for two rounds, with the winner being decided based on cumulative points at the end of those rounds. Think of it as a variation on Capture the Flag, and you’ll get the idea.

This aside, there are also four new maps coming that have been designed for the new game mode specifically, as well as the Dune Buggy, though that is just plain awesome, independent of the existence of Overrun.
