New Footage Was Unveiled For The Order 1886, And I Am Still Not Sold

Showcasing melee and combat.

For nearly a year now, every time we are shown Ready at Dawn and Sony Santa Monica’s new game, The Order 1886, we are shown the same segment over and over again. For a game that has so much to do to sell so many people to begin with- its focus on cinematic gaming and linear scripted levels almost seem to remind me of Ryse: Son of Rome, and that game was a critical flop- that hasn’t exactly been very convincing or reassuring.

That changed today. The good news is Ready at Dawn showcased some brand new gameplay footage, highlighting the gun play, melee combat, and just gameplay in general. The game does look really pretty. The bad news? Well… it also looks really bland and not fun, not something that I would really want to play, to be honest. I am simply still not sold on it, it appears to be too scripted for my liking.

Also, what is up with that HUD?
