New Gran Turismo 6 Trailer Shows Bathurst Concept

The Australian race event rendered entirely with the GT6 engine.

Ahead of the Bathurst 1000 race being held in Australia on October 10, Sony and Polyphony Digital have released a new concept movie for Gran Turismo 6 that shows off the Bathurst Concept being rendered by the game’s engine.

Predictably enough, the game looks great (although parts of it look shockingly poor at times, the overall impression it gives is that of one pretty looking game), and as is the case with Gran Turismo, it looks to recreate Bathurst pretty accurately and authentically in game.

For car enthusiasts, Gran Turismo 6 is a game to keep an eye out for, although others might be understandably more wary of spending money on it- in addition to some heavy competition that the title will be getting from next generation racing sims such as Forza Motorsport 5 and Sony’s own Drive Club, Gran Turismo 6 follows the generally underwhelming Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo for PSP. Whether this title can swing its series’ fortunes around remains to be seen, but for now, consider us, at least, cautiously optimistic.
