New inFamous: Second Son Patch Will be Out Tomorrow

All fans will be happy.

inFamous: Second Son will be getting a patch tomorrow that will add a handful of updates to the game, Sucker Punch reported on the PlayStation Blog. The new patch is all about options, as it gives players the option to disable the HUD, to manually change the time of the day (once the game has been completed), and the option to cap the gameplay at 30FPS for some reason. However, as they remind us: ‘this is a frame rate cap — not a lock. It won’t eliminate the rare instance of a dropped frame during gameplay.’

Apart from that, the game is getting the usual bugs and glitches fixed, some textual problems corrected, as well as a new Photo Mode, which lets players snap photographs from within the game, and gives them access to a suite of powerful tools.

It sounds like some very nice features, and a lot of them are directly in response to fan demands. It’s very nice to see a developer actually listen to the community for a change.
