Mafia 3 was finally announced after years of intense speculation and leaks at Gamescom this year; the third entry in 2K’s open world crime simulator saga (no, not Grand Theft Auto, their other open world crime simulator saga) is set in New Orleans, in the year 1968.

And for this new game, the developers at 2K Czech wanted to be as authentic and faithful in their recreation of New Orleans as possible. To which end, they went to painstaking lengths to be accurate and true to life. A process which is detailed in this new trailer for the game, which you can see below.

Mafia 3 will be launching on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In spite of the superficial similarities  between it and Grand Theft Auto V, Take Two’s CEO believes that the games are completely different, and that one should not cannibalize the other. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for further news and coverage.
