New Nintendo Direct for Third Party 3DS Games Set For July 11

Only announced for Japan so far, though.

It’s been a while since we last had a Nintendo Direct- not since the triple whammy of the Smash/Mario Kart/Tamodachi Life Directs about three months ago, in fact. So the prospect of this brand new one is pretty exciting, actually. Although so far it is set only for Japan, this new Nintendo Direct will talk exclusively about the upcoming third party games for the Nintendo 3DS.

That makes it sound like there is a lot of third party support for the 3DS- enough to have an entire Direct dedicated to just third party games, as a matter of fact- but on the other hand, it’s Japan only, so that makes it sound like all of this extensive support isn’t planned for a western release, at least not just yet.

Of course, the games might be announced for the west later- Nintendo and its third party partners have been unusually good about localizing games for western release- but as it stands now, it’s a bit of a bummer.

Still, though, if you want to watch the Direct, 12PM in the UK, and 7AM in the US Eastern Time.
