New Ryse Videos Show Off Brutal Combat, Weapons and Armor Forging

New videos shed more light on the upcoming game,

Whereas Ryse: Son of Rome, the Xbox One exclusive Crytek developed action game, has had a tough hill to climb since its E3 reveal, with its focus on style over substance and on cinematism over gameplay depth winning it many detractors. I mean sure, it looks great, but who’d care if it didn’t play well?

The new videos attempt to show off different sides of the game’s gameplay- the TV commercial shows us the bloody and brutal combat, which is, frankly, gory as all hell. It also shows us how great the game looks, to its credit.

The second video shows us armor and weapon forging in the game, which looks like it will be a fairly important part of gameplay, although how much depth it adds to the game remains to be seen.
