New Super Mario 3D World Trailer Ramps Up Insanity, Hype

It looks amazing.

The big surprise of yesterday’s Nintendo Direct was Super Mario 3D World- the game that, at its E3 debut, had seemed to be little more than a glorified 3DS up-port, came into its own, and proved itself to be a worthy successor of the Super Mario Galaxy games, the ones that it was following. It also cemented itself as the most exciting Wii U game currently on the horizon, knocking other pretenders like Donkey Kong and Sonic off the pedestal.

The video you see up there will show off some more new levels and power ups for the upcoming game, as Nintendo walks you through. I gotta say, the more I see of the game, the more excited I get. Everything about it, from the stellar gameplay to the wonderful level design, to the beautiful graphics and the new soundtrack, seems to be top notch. This is the game I would rush out to buy a Wii U for. Figures, since it’s Mario. Mario sells systems.

Super Mario 3D World launches exclusively for Wii U November 22. We’ll have more coverage of the game for you.
