New Trailer For Platinum’s The Legend of Korra Video Game Takes You Behind The Scenes

Avatar, Platinum style.

Platinum Games. The premier independent Japanese studio, counting talented and influential designers like Hideki Kamiya in its ranks. The studio which has brought us memorable, quirky, and genre defining games such as Bayonetta, Vanquish, The Wonderful 101, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The studio that is also currently working on a licensed game based on The Legend of Korra.

Which is baffling, but you know what, it could be worse. At the very least, The Legend of Korra is badass, with some great characters and great lore, so Platinum has some good subject material to work with. If you have been anxious as to how the new game will turn out, well then, this trailer takes you behind the scenes, and shows you that this won’t just be a quick and cheap cash in like most licensed games usually are, even if Activision is publishing it. No, this promises to be something more, something above and beyond. It promises to be a compelling and accessible action game in its own right.

It’s due on PSN and Xbox Live October 21 and October 22 respectively. Stay tuned for more coverage.
