Gamescom Opening Night has been chock full of announcements and reveals – which include highly anticipated releases like Halo Infinite as well as relatively smaller indie titles. Amazon Games’ upcoming MMORPG New World also made an appearance during the show with a new trailer that showcases more of the game’s world. Check out the video below for more details.

The trailer showcases a plethora of different enemies that players will face during their travels across a number of distinct environments. New World‘s open beta kicks off September 9th and runs up until September 12th, 2021. The game will be releasing the same month – September 28th, 2021 for all platforms.

New World is certainly the most ambitious project from Amazon Games, however reception from an early preview have been mediocre. It’s entirely possible that a lot of the presented issues might be ironed out from the release, but as it stands now – fans have legitimate reasons to remain skeptical about the game.
