Japanese players who are ready to feel true fear can now look forward to the next big title to hit the PlayStation Vita, NG. Launching on the little handheld that couldn’t in Japan on September 13, a new trailer shows the first real footage of the “Spirit Horror” horror title that spiritually follows up on Experience’s previous game, Death Mark.

Set in 1999 in another Japanese suburb, there’s a more overt mythological quality to the game with the apparent appearance of a Kitsune in the trailer. Just about the only thing that crosses over the language barrier in the brief trailer is an atmospheric sense of style, which should really help with players becoming absorbed.

The previous game, translated roughly as Death Mark sees the player and a partner character investigating the mysteries behind a certain mark that has been going around, which sees those branded with it die under mysterious circumstances. We’re expecting that title to finally be localized to Xbox One, PS4, Vita, and Nintendo Switch thanks to Aksys within the next year.
