NHL 16

A brand new video for NHL 17  shows off how the team building mechanics will work in the game. Apparently, getting your players to work together as a team will be a central mechanic in the game’s Ultimate Team mode.

The video describes three separate components to team building- player synergy, which are specific buffs applicable only to a specific player that they are applied to; team synergy, which grant bonuses to all players once they are activated; and dynamic sets, which net players collectibles, coins, packs and elite items for completing sets.

You can check out the actual video to learn more about how all of this will work. NHL 17 will be launching on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 13 this year. Let us know what you think of these new mechanics, as well as whether or not you plan to buy the game, in the comments section below.
