Level-5 are currently working on Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, the sequel to the PS3 and Nintendo DS RPG that ended up selling over a million copies worldwide. Ni no Kuni was generally well received- but it did end up having a lot of problems that turned players off of it, chief of them being its battle system, which sort of falls apart a few hours into the game.

So it’s good to see Level-5 attempt to tackle that criticism head on with this brand new trailer for Ni no Kuni 2, which you can see for yourself below. Apart from showcasing the game’s combat, it also shows off exploration in this game’s gorgeously rendered world, as well as an in depth look at the game’s mechanics.

Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is due out for PlayStation 4 and PC later this year. Are you going to pick it up? Let us know in the comments section.
