Nick Suttner, a Lead Account Manager and a key part of the PlayStation team at Sony, has left after seven years. Suttner made the announcement on Twitter earlier today. Nick’s better-known for both featuring on PlayStation Blogcast, and for being an avid champion of indie games.
With the PS4, Sony did an about-face of sorts when it came to its policy towards indie devs, being far more welcoming to indie efforts on the console than on PS3. As a result, such gems as The Witness, Everybody’s Gone to The Rapture, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (and No Man’s Sky in August) leapfrogged Microsof’t’s console to make an appearance on both PS4 and PC.
This indie friendly stance, which Nick championed has helped indie devs reach much wider audiences considering the massive install base of PS4 consoles.
It’s not clear as to where Nick intends to head, but Gio Corsi, Sony’s Third Party Production and Development Relations Senior Director (yikes that’s a long title) said that Nick will be starting “a whole new adventure.” We wish him the best!
This feels super weird to say after 7 years, but yesterday was my last day @PlayStation. It's been amazing, but I'm off to new adventures!

Best of luck to @nsuttner as he leaves our team to start a whole new adventure! His knowledge, passion & that mighty beard will be missed!
