Ninja Theory Would Like To Work With Alex Garland Again

Tameem Antoniades, the boss of Ninja Theory, has said that he would like to work with the Enslaved writer, Alex Garland, once again.

“It goes without saying that Alex is a very talented writer, but he brought so much more than his writing to the game,” said Antoniades.

“As a film producer he brought a refreshing perspective to the game, and one that we learnt a lot from. There’s plenty more we can learn from each other!” he said.

Antoniades revealed how he and Garland met, and how they started working on Enslaved, with the idea of the Chinese tale Journey to the West.

“I met Alex through an agent and had coffee with him,” he said during a previous interview with VG247.

“He was looking for a way into games, and we offered him full collaboration. That just organically grew. First, we co-wrote the story and stuff, and then he started to look at the game like he would look at the movie – he’s also a producer of movies.”

“He looks at how the cameras are done, the dialogue, the tone, the editing, even the in-game stuff: the in-game atmosphere, the moments that you pick out.” he said.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West  is now available in NA, and is released tomorrow in Europe.
