Nintendo 3DS Players Suffering Side Effects

Posted By | On 18th, Jan. 2011

Last week Nintendo held the largest hands-on 3DS event since E3 2010, the ‘Nintendo World’ event. There were reports of players suffering from dizziness and eye fatigue. Keep in mind that these reports comes from a magazine called Friday which is know for exposing celebrity scandals.

The Japanese magazine claimed the “majority” of players experienced unpleasant symptoms after or during use of the portable consoles stereoscopic 3D feature. After speaking with many players, Friday said that a lot of them switched to 2D visuals within a few minutes of them playing after feeling minor dizziness and fatigued eyes. Most importantly is that people mentioned that that holding the 3DS still can help mitigate strain which the Japanese magazine was not stressing to mention.

The Japanese Press seemed to have a very positive response to the Nintendo 3DS World event. In other words the Japanese Magazine Friday is just trying to make the 3DS look bad, while at the same time there are side effects of using the 3DS, just nothing major or something that can’t fixed or altered. The Nintendo 3DS is the start of the future in 3D to play games as well as watch movies in 3D with out needing glasses.
