Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime, has suggested a price drop might be used to extend the Wii’s lifecycle.
Many have been anticipating a Wii 2 announcement for some time now, but Nintendo stress that the Wii still has some life left in it. “The Wii has a long life in front of it,” Fils-Aime said. “We’re still sitting at $199. There are a variety of marketing tools at our disposal.”
But will a price cut really help the Wii stay relevant as graphical technology keeps advancing so quickly?
