Pokemon X and Y is one of the most anticipated games of all time. It’s no secret that Pokefans the world over would do just about anything to get their hands on an advance copy of the first ever fully 3D entry in the Pokemon universe.
Unsurprisingly, with the alleged advance release of a few copies of the game in France, images of the new Pokemon title have been flooding the internet, causing much outrage from Nintendo. So much so that apparently Nintendo flew a company representative out to where the rumored source of the leaks took place.
The leaker recently threw this post up onto the internet, confirming that Nintendo has confiscated his copy of the game:
“Nintendo flew a representative out this afternoon and went to the local game shop where I picked up X. The Nintendo rep had said heads were rolling at Nintendo because of the leaks. I gave up my copy of the game to try and help keep the local game shop out of trouble and to keep my friend from losing his job.”
Nintendo has placed a special emphasis on releasing Pokemon X and Y at the same time in all countries, as not to spoil the game’s mystique, so they were understandably furious with the leaks. Regardless, if you haven’t experienced it yet, then Pokemon X & Y will be out on October 12th for the 3DS.
