Nintendo has, traditionally, been a much more closed off company than the other two platform holders. When you compare them to Sony and especially Microsoft, Nintendo’s digital offerings are a lot more limited in general. But things are changing, as they often do, and it seems that those looking for another option is about to get one as popular digital store Fanatical will be getting Nintendo games soon.

The website announced in a press release that very soon Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS digital games will be available to buy at the storefront. So soon in fact, that you can pre-order Pokemon Sword and Shield through the website and get 10% off. You can check that out through here.

It’s not clear at this point to what extent Nintendo Switch and 3DS games will be on the store, so check back periodically to see what will be added. But either way, it’s more choices for you at the end of the day.
