The year is almost up and the Nintendo Switch is only a few months away. The exact release date and its launch line-up haven’t been confirmed but Nintendo will be changing all that when it hosts a live-stream event in Tokyo to discuss more details. This takes place on January 12th.

However, as per Polygon, Nintendo will also be giving other countries an opportunity to actually try out the device themselves. One such event will take place in New York on January 13th. This five hour event will be open to the public though given the massive hype surrounding the device, it’ll likely be difficult getting in.

This means we’ll have two days worth of information regarding the Switch and any potential detail pertaining to its release. Will The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which shows up at The Game Awards, actually launch for the console? What other games are in store? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
