Nintendo has released its earnings report for the three-month period ending September 30, 2022, and that, as always, includes updated software and hardware sales figures. The Nintendo Switch has now sold over 114.33 million units worldwide, up from 111.08 million units at the end of the previous quarter.

Over the course of the quarter, the Switch sold over 3.25 million units. Its total sales for the first half of the fiscal year (March-September) stand at 6.68 million units, which is down 19.2% year-on-year from last year. Nintendo attributes that to the persisting global semiconductor shortage, which continues to put constraints on hardware supply and sales. As such, the company has revised its forecast of total hardware sales for the ongoing fiscal year, reducing it from 21 million units to 19 million units.

On the software front, the Switch saw over 64 million sales of software units over the course of the three-month period. Total software sales for the Switch for the first half of the fiscal year stand at 95.41 million units, which represents a 1.6% year-over-year increase. Nintendo’s projects for total software sales for the current fiscal year remain unchanged at 210 million units.
