Pokemon Sword and Shield have already set series records with their incredible launch, but if you thought that sales momentum was going to die down any time soon – maybe because of some people who are still angry the National Dex did not make it in poisoning the word of mouth – then, well, it doesn’t seem to be happening. At least judging by these Japanese sales numbers for last week.

According to tracker Famitsu, Pokemon Sword and Shield sold another 382,500 copies last week in the country, topping the sales charts yet again, and coming in way ahead of the only new entrant on the chart, Shenmue 3, which is floundering in fourth placed with less than 18,000 units sold (ouch).

The real story here is how much Pokemon seems to have benefitted Nintendo Switch hardware sales—over 95% of all consoles sold in the country last week were Switch units. Nintendo Switch sold 180,000 units, which is over 25 times more than what the PS4 sold.
