The Nintendo Switch is sold out- this is something we all keep hearing, and at this point, it is impossible to actually pre-order the system, leaving many who may want it but failed to pre-order it in time in the lurch. And given Nintendo’s tendency for understocking its mechandise, leading to chronic and perennial shortages, one might be tempted to think this was it, right? No way to know when you might actually be able to get the system now.
Well, it looks like GameStop is doing its part to alleviate the situation somewhat. In a new press release, the retailer has promised to have supplies of the Nintendo Switch available for walk in customers on launch day- but only in very limited quantities. This means that you still have to rush to the store to get your system, or they’ll probably sell out again.
GameStop will also be offering two (pricier) bundles of the system on its website- the first bundle available will include the Nintendo Switch console, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for $429.99, while the second bundle will include all of that, plus the official strategy guide for Breath of the Wild for $454.99.
The smarter ones of you will probably just decide to sit out the madness until the stock situation for the system stabilizes. The Nintendo Switch launches March 3.
