It looks like Sony won’t be the only major console manufacturer who will sit out Paris Games Week this year, due to be held at the end of October. JeuxVideo are reporting (via Nintendo Life) that Nintendo have confirmed that they, too, will be sitting out the event this year.

“Ever year, Nintendo looks for the best ways and opportunities to let fans try out its games. This year, Nintendo chose to skip the Paris Games Week, because it did not fit in the [company’s] annual plans,” a statement from Nintendo reads.

It is possible that this is because Paris Games Week will be too close to a potential reveal event for Nintendo’s upcoming NX, which is also rumored to be some time in October. On the other hand, this may also indicate that Nintendo don’t plan on making any public announcements for now, any time soon, including the NX- which would surely frustrate Nintendo fans who have been waiting for a year and a half now for some concrete news on Nintendo’s mysterious upcoming new system.
